Frequently Asked Questions

Indian nationals don’t need a visa to visit Bhutan. However, a permit is required, which we’ll arrange for you. This permit will be processed in advance and will be required to be shown at the point of entry (Phuentsholing Immigration Office) and other check-points during the trip.
August offers warm days and occasional rain. It’s great for lush landscapes, but pack rain gear. Spring (March-May) and Fall (September-November) are most popular time to visit Bhtuan.

It’s moderately challenging, taking 2-3 hours up and 1-2 hours down. We’ll take it at a comfortable pace with rest stops. 

We use comfortable 3-star hotels, centrally located in each town. All rooms have private bathrooms and modern amenities. 



Some dishes can be spicy, but milder options are always available. Let us know about any dietary requirements. 

The Bhutanese Ngultrum (Nu) is the local currency. Indian Rupees (INR) are widely accepted, from ₹10 to ₹500 notes. Also, Bhutanese currency is at par with Indian Rupees, meaning 1 Nu = 1 INR. There’s no conversion of money required. You can use INR throughout the trip.

Wi-Fi is available in hotels but can be slow. We will provide a complimentary Bhutan Tourist SIM to every guest for local connectivity. You can top up for more data and calling. 

Absolutely! Just let us know your home city, and we’ll share the best flight options and fares for your travel to and from Bagdogra Airport.

Comfortable walking shoes, layers for varying temperatures, rain gear, and modest clothing for temple visits. We’ll provide a detailed packing list. 

We have not seen our guests having altitude sickness in Bhutan. Most places we visit are at moderate altitudes. Chele La Pass (3,988m) is the highest point. Stay hydrated and inform your guide if you feel unwell.

This fee contributes to Bhutan’s free education, healthcare, and poverty alleviation programs, supporting the country’s unique development model.

Most major expenses are covered. Budget around ₹2000-3000 per day for personal expenses, souvenirs, and optional activities.

We want our guests to have flexibility, especially in cities. This allows you to explore local cuisine, try nice spots for drinks or meals, or even enjoy familiar foods like pizza. We’ll provide recommendations during the trip, but you’ll have the freedom to choose your dining experiences on some days.

For arrival, please book a flight that lands before 2 PM. This ensures we have enough time to pick up all trip members and reach Phuentsholing safely (about 4 hours drive) before the border gate closes. For departure, book a flight leaving after 2-3 PM from Bagdogra Airport.
